Our Ethos

At Truro Nursery School we believe that children deserve the best possible start to their education.

We hope to provide that, both in the Nursery School and in the community, by offering a safe, secure and happy environment in which children will flourish feeling confident and ready to learn.

They will be supported by experienced staff including qualified teachers who are all committed to providing quality nursery education and care with first class family support.

We follow a Froebelian approach to our practice which values each child as unique and recognises what they can do rather than what they can't.   We recognise play as an integral and essential experience and attuned adults help children to make connections in their play and learning.  Our wonderful outdoor learning areas enable children to connect to nature, think about the world around them and use their imaginations to create their own learning experiences.  More information about our approach can be found here: Froebel Trust | Froebelian principles
